Help overclocking q9550 to 3.6GHZ

hello, ive tried overclocking my CPU, n getting no where..it keeps coming up after smart bios windows tried boot several times and my CPU underclocks my spec

q9550 @2.83 stock
4gb ddr2 800Mhz
Asrock G31M-GS M/B
Western 500GB HDD
Asus 6770 1GB gddr5
Corsair TX650 V2
Antec Kuhler 620 W/C

Can anyone help me to overclock to 3.6Ghz?

To get to 3.6GHz you would have to set your system bus to 424 MHZ. Will your motherboard allow that? Your motherboard might be the limiting factor.

Also at best this will overclock your ram by about 5% past its rated speed. This might work or it might not work, or you could adjust voltages and timings to get it to work. Also you would have to set your BIOS to run the ram at 1:1 speed.

ive not altered my bios since i installed win 7 64bit n chipset drivers all my settings are stock, there what i need help with
