I have an HP dv3t-2000 laptop and a Samsung T240HD monitor.

The problem I am having is that oftentimes programs will open on the external monitor rather than on the laptop screen, regardless of where they last were (i.e., Firefox almost always opens on the Samsung, regardless of the fact that it was (maximized) on the laptop screen when I closed it). This is especially annoying when I'm watching TV on the T240HD, since I have to switch from TV to Input and then back again, in the middle of a show.

How do I fix this (i.e., force programs to open on the laptop screen)?
