How to tell if your HD was switched

Hello,I was wondering how you can tell if your hard drive was switched. For example, if someone made a backup image of your Hd and then put that copied Hd back in your PC while keeping the original. Is there anything that will indicate that the Hd was switched out like maybe the dates on documents modified or something?

See if it is the same make and model and size.

It's a good idea to note down the serial numbers of your equipment. It will help with a situation like this, as well as providing a way to positively identify your equipment should it ever get stolen.

The serial number is the best way to know. Short of that, if you know what the SMART property for power on hours is, you could check that to see if it has changed.
