Installation of CPU

I put a new CPU in that came from Fry's- Didn't work - so I put the old one back in - Now - when it starts, it says "CPU Overload" and shuts down-!@! Whats happening/ Please help

Did you put new thermal paste on.....

Yes, sounds like a cooler issue.
