Wow, that's quite a bit lower price than I was expecting. Even comes with a couple games.

Does that card have no warranty? Maybe I'm just not seeing it. I think it looks kinda ugly personally :/ Not that it really matters

Reply to FallenSniper

yeah i'd prefer simplicity over crazy arts... XFX cover art suppose to be nice and simple.

Reply to woostar88

I'm waiting for XFX. I've had issues with Sapphire customer support.

Likely because they only had 20 of them, and now they are all waiting for UPS trucks to take them away. Hopefully some more brands get released soon, now i just need to save up to get a new monitor so it will break idle when i finally get one of them.

Oh and looking at the SP count and clock rate, i cant wait to see the reviews! Its easily more than twice as fast as a 4870. CPU bottlenecks on an i7 here we come!!!

Reply to hunter315

Well Asus and HIS are still available

Reply to Suzaku

Hmm those Asus and HIS weren't available a few hours ago.

Reply to FallenSniper

omg they have backplatess sweeeeeeeet

Reply to Nica Guy

The review is on the front page, the 5870 kicks some serious ass. I just hope that a few of the OEMs will modify the cooler a bit or just swap out the DVI ports for more display ports so it can be a full slot of cooling.

Any Canadians out there... the XFX and powercolor versions are both in stock at ncix.. for a while... with no limit on number. 449.99

Reply to daedalus685

No. I wish the 5850 was for sale, I have yet to see it.
I'm having a very hard time justifying $379.99 for the 5870, when no games today (or probably in the next 5 months) take full advantage of this card. The one nice thing is the DX11, yet again, nothing on the market needs this card right now. I'm sure 4890 sales are going to jump up...but almost 400 dollars for a card that won't really use its full potential for another 6-12 months, and by that time prices will be lower.

NVIDIA still has the faster single-card solution, although the $100 price premium is well in excess of the <10% performance premium.

Wish i could figure out where to buy one of these things.

Reply to deathmustard

Well it looks like it backfired on AMD this time..... Don't be surprised if you see some 5870's on e-bay with ridiculous pricetags =)

There are stocks around.. just not at the egg. Try ncix if you are eager to get one (or two).

I'd be interested to find out just how short stocked these are... or if they came in roughly average numbers and just sold.

Yea but not at the same price as the egg.... Retailers uped their prices due to the fact that AMD did not have enough GPU's for each store.....

ASUS has Voltage Tweaker for HD 5870. Is Voltage Tweaker by ASUS really important or is it just a marketing hype?

Don't know, but a handy way to up the voltage could be good.
