On my portable PC HP Omnibook XE3 I do not have any more back lighting.
When the PC starts the screen remains black and the image is guessed but it
is too dark to make use of it. A HP spare screen cost 971$ except labour
to this price it is better to buy a new PC. Thus I dismounted my screen and
inside there is a small printed circuit with minis tranfo above at exit of
this chart there are two wire (white and pink) which returns in the screen.
I measured the tension on these wire and I found 0v out of AC and DC with my
testor.
The alimentation of the lighting of TFT is good?
How test if it is the screen or this chart which talks cock?
Because I found an used spare LCD from 195$ on the Net.
If anyone have any experience of his problem.
Thanks

The small board with the transformers is the LCD inverter (power supply
to light the flourescent lamps that provide the backlight).
BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL, THE LAMP VOLTAGE IS ***VERY*** HIGH (CAN BE OVER
1,000 VOLTS) AND CAN BE ***LETHAL*** (CAN KILL YOU).
What you did was kind of dangerous, but I'd say that probably the LCD
screen itself is fine and that you probably have a bad inverter. From
your perspective, that's much better, because the inverter is not a
terribly expensive part (anywhere from about $30 to $120, but nothing
like the cost of an LCD screen).
