Currently using AMD SEmpron 1.05 GHz processor, 2GB ram, mainly for Internet browsing, some minor photo work, letter writing and such.

System is slow with multiple Internet windows open and sluggish on other operations.

Will an upgraded CPU such as AMD Mobile Athlon XP-M 1900+ 1.6GHz 266MHz Socket A (Socket 462) be enough of an improvement to warrant the change?

Thank you.

No this is a clone with ECS 741GX-M Motherboard. What other information do you desire. (Not good with Megamillions or lotto numbers!)
Thank you

Just upgraded ram (184 pin) decided new MB that handles other than EIDE drives wasn't worth the investment. But didn't think about the slower CPU, replacement is about $20. but will the processing speed be worth the price?
