Now, I know it would probably be some mad overkill, but is it possible to stick two 4870X2 in CrossfireX thereby giving some sort of Quadfire, or whatever you'd call it?

yes, i've been running quadfire for almost a year. you need a massive psu though.

yea and in 5 min they will be gone.... they are only getting Aprox 100 units, well at least that is what the rep told me....
