Installation Question

I'll be building my first gaming rig fairly soon and I had a question about SSDs. Is it best to have windows and windows updates on one SSD, gaming programs on another SSD, and then pretty much everything else on a data drive?

Actually, it would be better to have one large SSD (versus two smaller separate drives) and run Windows and Games on one than everything else on a data drive.
