So I have an older pc and just want to play Halo on it. Using Everest home edition here are the specs.

Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-7S748 (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio)

CPU Type AMD Athlon XP, 2166 MHz (13 x 167) 2700+

Motherboard Chipset SiS 748

System Memory 1792 MB (DDR SDRAM)

Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 (Microsoft Corporation) (128 MB)

Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

What video card can I use with the mobo ? This one is just terrible ! I will build a new pc in two months time but need something right now. Is there anything else that needs to be replaced in order to play Halo ? I am near Madison,Wi

Pick up an HD 3850, it is the strongest AGP card available right now, the issue with AGP cards is that they are a lot more expensive than they should be because they are specialty items at this point and you wont be able to use it in your new system so im not sure why you are upgrading when you will be building shortly but here is the link to a 3850

the thing about buying a good AGP video card is that ..its a complete waste of money . Theyre not that good anyway and you could buy a gfx card and mb with PCI-e for about the same cost ..........

Also due to the fact my trusty Dell 8400 died (needs a new motherboard) and that I am out of work at the moment I may put off another build until 4 to 6 months away. Thax for everyones help and I will build a intel next.
