The correct resolution on my monitor is 1280x960. Upon booting up, and logging into windows the computer the correct resolution is displayed, but before the computer has completely finished booting up, the screen flickers black, and then changes by itself to 1280x1024. I have to change it back, and when I do, it will stay that way for the rest of the time that the computer is on. Simply changing the resolution in the display properties window doesn't stay the same after bootup.

any help is appreciated.

that is odd

could it be that the actual graphics drivers and windows' display properties aren't talking to each other quite right, so the change made into one isn't saved to the other...
