Need a decent mother board for i7, not the high end :

The computer will be assigned as a project pc, the applications used will be photoshop, after effects, pro tools and similar apps.
It will not be into gaming so It doesn't need the multiple gpu support.

I asked and many said the stock intel mobo wasn't suggested.

Which mother boars should I go for keeping in mind these apps.

The processor decided is intel i7 920

What's your budget for the motherboard? How much RAM are you planning on using? I would stick with either Asus or Gigabyte. Without knowing your budget, here's a very nice board that has USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0 for a low price:
