i have a asus 24" 1080p, it runs at 1900x1200 i believe.

how would i find out if i need 512mb memory or 1gb memory on the video card i purchase?

i know that bigger screens will require more memory but does mine fall under the 1gb category and suffer from lack of performance if i don't get 1gb?
