Resolution gaming is to take place? For a gaming rig one could just go i5 if Intel and Phenom 2 if AMD (for even cheaper)

i ve actually been looking at the i7 920 p6t deluxe set for dual xfire/sli almost said screw it and went core duo cause of all the new releases and confusion on where the solid ground will be there was a nice 16 phase asus for 94 bucks and 209 for a q9550

What's your budget, and what resolution do you plan on playing at, and what components do you already have (don't need).

If you don't answer those basic questions then this thread is pretty much a waste of bandwidth.

btw there is an article that microcenter drop prices from 300 to 200 for i7 920 can t find it now so if u live by one and need an i7 920 , i5 200-179

i like the other one u gave me, i m sitting at 2k which is what i expected to pay , plus i7 920 for hexcore later right (215 of that is fed ex 3 day)

and i had to do some other shopping. tools, bigger monitor, upgrade to psu, case,mouse , keyboard
