I have an older pc and bought a LCD monitor for it. It doesn't have the right connector on the computer. The monitor says it has a 15 pin D-sub DVI-D connector. Is it possible to get a connector to make it work with my older pc?

AFAIK, that's just the normal VGA analog connector.

If your computer isn't older than my grandpa then it would be fine i guess.

That's 2 separate connectors:

DVI-D

I went to staples today and looked for a connector and the guy told me that sometimes the new flat screens just don't want to recognize the analog?

15 pin D-sub is a different connector than Dvi-d . so that should read connectorS . out of them , u can connect the first one , d-sub which is also known as vga connector , with your pc , which surely would have one which u used for the older crt monitor . get a vga cable if none came with the monitor .
