Ethernet drivers

I have installed a new HD and I want to access broadband but I need an ethernet driver to do so. I cannot access driver support software on desktop computer until this is MANUALLY loaded?

Yes, this is a problem that can be alleviated with a little advance planning. Before I perform a full reinstall of Windows I download all the latest drivers and copy them to a USB flash drive.

So, either reinstall your old hard drive so you can download the drivers, or go to another PC and download the Ethernet driver so you can get back online and get the rest of the drivers.

If the Ethernet is on the motherboard, you go to either the PC or the motherboard manufacturer's website. Otherwise look at the Ethernet Card to identify it and go to the proper website.
