Thank you for all of your responses!!! I would really like to know what you think of my system. I would also like to know if the power supply is big enough to support everything. Finely, I would also like to make sure that everything is compatible, and that there will be no bottlenecks. This will be my first time building a homebuilt system. Thand you!

i have a nearly identical system except my psu is larger cuz i have many hard drives in it, and plan on eventually getting a second 4870. also my mem is faster for better oc'ing but currently it runs all games great, it even does pretty well on crysis... i do have it clocked up quite a bit from stock, my antec 902 case provides real good air cooling and my temps stay fairly low. so your setup should do you very well. if you do plan on adding additional hard drives or anything else down the road you may want to consider a larger psu.

Intels socket 775 is being discontinued . You'd be buying in the very last days. Sure there will be parts for a while but its not a great time to buy this technology

An AMD Phenom X3 720 be is a slightly better processor and coupled with an AM3 mb and DDR3 it will have a longer service life . It will also be cheaper since the processor/ram/mb will cost about $270

For a couple of dollars more you can het a samsung f3 500 gig hard drive thats much faster

Thanks for all of the info... but why woulkd not going with a newer socket be bad? would new software not work as fast with it? Or would it not allow a lot of room for upgrading?

Well, to be honest, I don't really mind much about not upgrading the cpu, because I mainly want to play current and older games. but I do care about upgrading the GPU, I know the PSU isn't big enough to support another ATI 4870, but I just wanted to know if the case and the mobo is large enough to put in another 4870?
