Hey guys so after some research I finally pulled the trigger on getting a Asus GTX 570 dc ii as well as a seasonic x760. It seems as if my comp actually runs a little slower than my old setup but frame rates will jump from 70-90 in high settings to like maybe 1-6fps....=P

My old setup was:
Gigabyte EP43t-ud3l
Q6600 @ 3.2ghz 1.375v
Corsair Vengence 8gb ddr3 1600mhz @ 1408mhz 1:2
Radeon HD 5750
Antec BP550w.

The new setup I just replaced my old vid card and PSU.
Asus GTX 570 dc ii @ stock
Seasonic x760w PSU.

Can someone help me out.....I don't get any tearing in games and I used to be able to run IBT on my old setup without any problems.....now I can't even go through one phase with the GTX 570 and new Seasonic x760 PSU....can the psu be defective or vid card?

BF3...WoW....1920x1080...yes I just updated to the newest drivers....forceware 285.79.

What I'm getting at also is that I can't even run intel burn in test without getting a BSOD 5 seconds into it....whereas my old setup I passed the IBT easily....I'm pretty confused at what's causing this...should probably just go get my i5 2500k tmrw to complete the upgrade. >.<

Not yet...only during benchmark using intel burn in test.....I'm starting to think it's time to retire my q6600 g0. It would only cost about $200 to get a i5 2500k w/ MB.

I've been searching around since 7pm its now almost 4am trying to find a answer why my comp seems a lot slower after a good upgrade...

BSOD may be caused because of the OCed Q6600, if you want to make sure there's nothing wrong with the GPU, Download Furmark and stress test the GPU for at least 15 mins, if it stands without an issue then the GPU is pretty good.

Try to use the CPU + GPU @ stock speeds, maybe the performance is throttled by the CPU, Also BF3 has some issues some members reported a significant drop in FPS suddenly while playing, search after the CPU.

OK so 5min into bf3 just now I get a BSOD card is at stock....I never had any issues with my q6600 BSOD with my Radeon HD 5750 installed....I'm thinking of reinstalling it.

We have the same CPU and GPU. But, did you said that you have these drivers?:

GeForce 285.79 Driver
Version: 285.79 - BETA
Release Date: Thu Nov 10, 2011
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit , Windows Vista 64-bit
Language: English (US)
File Size: 187.4 MB

These are beta. It might work but its not guaranteed that it would work. So try to install:

GeForce 285.62 Driver
Version: 285.62 - WHQL
Release Date: Mon Oct 24, 2011
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit , Windows Vista 64-bit
Language: English (US)
File Size: 147.99 MB

If this continues try to remove o/c from Q6600 as other people said before.

Ok so check it out....I went ahead and reinstalled my old Radeon HD 5750 and I'm able to pass Intel burn in test without a problem....Looks like I got a bad Asus GTX 570 card?
