Yes the HD4770 CF would be a much better option but don't compare them to HD4870 as they actually beat the HD4890 AND the GTX275.

So for $200+/- you'll get a setup beating the GTX275, consuming less power(6-pin con. for 1 card) and producing less heat(40nm Mfr Tech.), Ah and i think they aren't dual slot!.

So for the Perf. the HD4770 CF is much "Superior" to HD4870 AND HD4890 BUT not for HIGH Resolutions (because of 512MB Frame Buffer).

EDIT: What did you mean: "haha ya i would but its gonna be over by the time i actually got the money for it haha." I mean what particular component do you mean ;) .

Regards.

Yea that....., Well good luck hope I helped you some :D .

Enjoy and post final Specs here.

EDIT: Good decision about HD4770 CF.
EDIT2: Also seriously consider one of my suggested RAM kits as they have much better timings and the FSB decrease won't affect the performance like the tighter timings would but in the opposite side (7-7-7-20 1066MHz vs. 9-9-9-24 1600MHz).

Regards.
