32 pin cmos for asus motherboard

Hello,
I have a Asus a8v motherboard with a 939 chip. It will only boot with the bios battery removed. Also will not reboot unless the power is cut.

Replace the bios battery. Most are cr2032 lithium, available at some walmarts or targets in the battery racks for around $2-3. I found one at Altex in austin for less than $1. If you still have problems after replacing the battery, check the position of your case leads for the power switch, reset button, etc. They may need adjusting.
