Netbook Memory Compatibility

I want to upgrade my girlfriend's Fujitsu M2011 for her. It has 1GB 533mhz in it now. I want to put in 2GB ddr2-667. I know it supports that kind of memory, but I don't know what to get to ensure the netbook accepts it. Does it make a difference whether I get 128x8 or 256x64? Fujitsu offers no documentation or compatibility list whatsoever, so I was hoping someone here could provide some insight.

  1. correction: it's a M2010, but has the N280 and 6-cell battery, which i thought is what the M2011 was lol
  2. Two possibilities:
Google something like "2 gb netbook memory expansion".
Open up the netbook and google the memory part number and look for the equivalent 2 GB part.

Installing faster memory will not improve performance.

Thanks for the reply. I dont know why I didnt think of your second option as it makes sense lol. It might be that Im OCD but the FSB for the N280 is 667 so I want memory that speed. I checked the memory info in linux and it said it was 64bits wide so I was just wondering if a 256x64 stick was more likely to be compatible than a 128x8. Or am I way off?
