hi peoples i am running XP 64-bit and well i have a Asrock AM3 N68-S. From there site it says it can take up to 8gig the company i brought my pc from says it can only take up to 4 any way of finding out as it my be different from site as its USA and i'm in UK thanks in advanced

If your motherboard is Asrock N68-S, then it should support 8GB maximum memory capacity. This information is straight from their official website.

Sometimes tech stores put incorrect information on their products. Sometimes it happens. Most likely that's the case here.
P.S. I checked the link you provided for store where you bought that PC and it's a link of some article about Windows VPS hosting. I don't see product link there.
