Clicking noise

alright my hard drive stopped working today past week it kept making a clicking noise every hour or so and now it just stopped working any idea if its fixable

Hello,

Clicking noises can be 'normal' for some HDDs. However you would have heard them from day 1.

When you begin to hear noises from a HDD, or the reading/writing becomes slower, that's not a good sign - time to safely back the drive up.
The fact that it stopped now means it has failed.

You never know. Many old timers say 'hard drives are only a temporary mode of storage' and sooner or later they will fail. The only thing I know of with a predictable failure rate is a car battery, always fails 2 years and 1 day later, 1 day after the warranty expires!
