well for starters the i7 will beat the i5 but i think we can cut it a bit you dont need the 2 gig gpu unless you playing above 1920x1200 and 1000 watts is a lil overkill the corsair 850 will power 2 gpu's right up to 2 gtx285's

forgot to mention
Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA Model AD-7240S-0B - OEM $34

and the psu dropped off $100 have
CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail

i m gonna hold off till 5k cards come out maybe others will drop a lil, i heard 285 aren t worth the cash tho may as well go 275's

Reply to screenfried

I was missing around and found that you opened a new thread so ...................... .

Any way here you go:
for the monitor get the 24" one as i far as i know better contrast equal better reception for your eye and personal safety comes first ;) , And it's 1080 P (or "1080 I" ?)
I'll update later with other suggestions but ............. .

Just Wait.

If you go with a 4890, there's no advantage to the 2GB model. Save yourself $50 and buy the 1GB.

@screenfried if you want to post the links only without a mask
use this method instead:

LINK Location

Like:

- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] Tpk=vw266h

Or just copy->paste the regular link:
like:

- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] g%20w2453v

Both work so the 2nd is faster.
Only use the First method to MASK the URL.

Well I made the links work so I think the choice is simple, go with the 24" LG as LG is better known for monitors than Asus.
Oh and don't forget to post the links for any other device you want another thought about.
