Hi guys! I need a GPU upgrade for my system that will suite my cpu

- Core2Duo E6600 2.4ghz with Scythe Nina mini cooler

- 4gb corsair ram

- nvidia 8600gt

- corsair VX450 PSU

- I play on 1280x1024 19' Samsung

I want a GPU that will fit my CPU "like a glove". I don't want to overclock, and I'm not interested in changing anything else but GPU.

Maybe 4770??

Uh, what is it then?? 4850 or 4770, and what about new 5850 and 57xx series? Is it worth upgrading to that generation of GPU with my kind of screen and CPU? What should I finally buy?

New GPU - what a conundrum! :( I'm even more puzzled now than I was before.

Nah, with your CPU and screen I wouldn't get a 5850 or 5870, you could get a 4850 or wait for something like a 5670 (though I'm not sure if they'll be released anytime soon.)
