Asus P7P55D Issue?

Last response: in Motherboards

I've started a new build. Got all the components, built it but when I start it up the DRAM and CPU Red LEDs start flashing, does not post and then turned off after about 10 secs.

I checked the RAM, connections, made sure the heatsink and everything was fine. I then reset the CMOS and tried again. This time only the CPU LED flashed once, and then again as the PC turned itself off.

Components are:

Asus P7P55D Motherboard
Intel i5 661 (3.33GHz)
4Gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz
ATI Radeon HD 5850 GPU
850w PSU

Anyone have any ideas to what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Did you guys connect the CPU power connector? It's a 8 pin connector, but 4 of the pins are capped. Remove the cap and plug in a 8pin connector from your PSU.
