ONly 1.5 gb/s on 6gb/s drives?

I just bought these 2 drives, WD caviar blue 500 6gb/s..when i tryed to raid them up on my ASUS Crosshair III formula MB, it says in the Array config section on boot up (cntrl f) i think, that the through put of these drives is only 1.5 gb/s???? the same as the old raptors i just took off? ive tryed all ports? the same..yet i have a slightly older sata 2 western digital drive that reads its a 3gb/s drive, its a storage drive and not in the Array? is it becuase its only a sata 2 board? i thought id still get the 3gb/s regardless?

Has anybody come across this problem before?

It's a bit of a moot point because hard drives don't spin fast enough to exceed around 1.5Gbit/sec anyway...

What does WD's WDSSpeed utility say about your drive?

Did you check for any pins at the back of the drive that set the Interface Speed?
