depending on the motherboard... (i did my shoping on newegg, and i found newegg did not have all the details on the motherboard, so i had to go to the Co. web site... and the mobo i picked was a AM2+, but it did support AM3, so i got the AM3 cpu, and it works great...

so do a lot of research...

good luck.

AM3 processors work in am2+ motherboards .

I believe WOW can only make use of 3 CPU cores so the quad might be overkill so

AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz $125

GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 $70

Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 $80

$275
All the latest am3

For a little more you can upgrade the processor to the 945 quadcore , but as I said b4 I dont think that helps in WOW
