Dual lan connection

Is it possible to connect two lan cables to an ethernet switch from a dual lan motherboard ? I enabled it in the bios and connected it but it produces an error when I try to go on line. If I boot with one line connected and go on line and then plug the other line in, it seems to work for awhile and then the browser crashes. Any ideas??

Are you using DHCP or static IP addresses? If using DHCP, you have a system that has 2 different IP addresses and that's confusing. If you really want to use both NICs on the same switch, then bridge them.
