In the past I've always bought crappy headsets out of apathy and tight budget, but I'm now looking for something a bit nicer to go along with my new rig (see below). My budget is roughly $50 but is flexible, my usage is primarily Ventrilo for WoW, but also single-player gaming (Crysis, Fallout 3), HD movies and music. I generally shop newegg but am flexible. Please throw some good suggestions at me!

ps- i know this is more an "Audio" post but that forum doesn't get a lot of views

I'm using the plantronics gamecomm 377 right now.

The mic is really good, the headset is comfortable and big (I have a hard time finding a cheaper headset that will fit around my ears). I don't really pay much attention to the audio quality but it seems pretty good. cords a bit short tho. I only use them for gaming, primarily for vent.

I use these and have had them for I belive two years. They havent failed me yet. They come in USB or Two gold plated audio connectors. These are Logitech Circumaural Headphones. And The sound is just as crisp When I i dont have them plugged into my soundcard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6826106935
