Help for 700 build

hello. im building a new pc for my friend
he doesnt plan on upgrading in future
i was thinking i5 at first but if he is not gonna upgrade, i thought i could go with c2d and give little better gpu
btw, he does play games, he is not type of person who cares about graphics too much, he will be happy as long as he could play games without lags, no matter what setting he is playing at (at least med i assume)
he has 24" samsung LCD

i5 and gigabyte mobo with sli or CF support with 4870 sounded good deal, but this also sounded okay, e8400, p45 mobo with gtx 275

with no upgrade in future which one is better for money?

if he plans to upgrade in future, will this change the result?

Building a complete i5 system with SLI/crossfire support for $700 is pretty tough. You'll get better help if you edit your post to follow the format in the "How to ask for new build advice" sticky at the top of the forum.

I'd go w/ the 4870. Those run high resolution really damn good! Just one would do him good. Get an XFX 4870, 1gb if you could.
