P5KPL motherboard

Hi,
I have Asus P5KPL Motherboard which i am running Dual Core Intel E6750, i have purchased Dual Core intel E8400,as soon as fitted, it does boot but it detect E8400 3 Ghz but stuck on Post screen and does do nothing and i can't go to bios and nothing works, i fitted my old dual core back everything works fine !!!! could you please help me on that.

update the bios with your old chip then fit the new chip and reset the cmos and see how that goes

you also may have to set the ram ratio manually to 1:1
