More about system
  1. right now im wondering if OC'ing your CPU will help you with any of your programs...hmmm

Anyway, switch out the thermal paste with arctic cooling MX-3, no cure time and is pretty much top-of-the-line thermal paste.
  2. I would suggest an nvidia card like the GTS250 or GTX260 so that you have CUDA support, many programs for the type of work you do support CUDA and it should help a fair amount. You would also benefit from more memory, get a second kit of the OCZ platinum ram, other than that it looks pretty good.

If you want a silent PC get one with large fans or go liquid cooling, the 200mm fans in the HAF 922 will be quieter than the 120mm fans because they spin slower while moving more air.
