CANADA - Future I5 owner :)

Hi all,

I am from Canada so the price for computer computer components are not as good compare to US. I decide

recently to go with Intel I5 instead of phenom II 955. I need helps for choosing components to my

system and check if there is incompatibility ( Choice of motherboard, RAM and CPU heatsink).


Budget : around 500 $ CAN before tax for CPU, motherboard RAM + 30 $ for CPU heatsink

Specifications : - Room for future upgrade
- SLI or Crossfire in future
- Room for overclock

Here is my options :

I don't know what RAM can I use for this board.... Can you suggest one ?

Can you suggest a cheap heatsink ?

What do you think is the best option ?

^ I wouldn't suggest the Option 3 for crossfire/ SLI...Reason - The 2nd PCIe slot is limited to X4...So it would cripple the 2nd card very much...

The best of the lot is the Option 1...

As for the CPU cooler, there are not many good options for around $30...
This is OK but not so good...
