Had an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro that died. Replaced it with an Nvidia Geforce 6200 with 256 mb of ram. The performance of the newer nvidia card is not even close to that of the older AT card. Am I doing something wrong or was the ATI a better card?

The ATI was the better card but probably not by that much.

It's a top of the line for it's time card against a slightly better than integrated card situation, nothing to do with the IHVs. :pfff:
