If by rendering you are including accurate color rendering, you are not going to be happy with a TN panel. Unfortunately, accurate color rendering and gaming are just about at opposite ends of the spectrum. Gaming monitors tend to be oversaturated for the "wow" factor and the highly accurate IPS modles tend to be a bit slow and leave some ghosting. In the middle, pretty darn good at doing both are the S-PVA panels. The Lenovo L220x was real nice but it has gone out of production. Dell makes one, but as much as I'd hate to give money to dell, the S-PVA monitor is a pretty darn good one.
