I would go with neither, if the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB is available in your area. It is just as fast as the WD drives, at a lower price. I highly recommend them and haven't had any issues with any of them in my builds. There is really no reason to go SATA 6.0 Gb/s on a mechanical drive. It won't even saturate the bandwidth of the SATA II controller, let alone a SATA III controller. I would only use a SSD on a SATA III controller (be it two SATA II in RAID0 or a SATA III drive).

If you care about performance I would definitely stay away from 5400rpm drives. I personally prefer the WD Blacks. Tecmo is correct that the spinpoints are a better value, but I have had very good experiences from all my WD drives in general and like to stick with what I know.
