Hi everyone just a gossip thread where id like to hear something about nvidia cards coming out soon or not.
Gotta buy a new pc and ive been waiting a bit so i dont know whether i should just stick to the new ati or not, nvidia has some nice software for game developers (baking of maps, hardware ambient occl most specifically but also normals etc etc) and i suspect them not to work properly with an at so maybe i should get a gtx295 (evtl285), a 5870, or just keep waiting (and ive been doing so for quite some time now...)

Well the general consensus is that Nvidia will release their new cards:

Late Q4 2009
or
Early Q1 2010

Its now up to you to decide whether to wait for the new Nvidia offering, or go ATI.

Latest word from nVidia (via Tweaktown) is that they are "on schedule for a Q4 2009 launch. This launch should be at GTC in November with retail availability by the end of November. "
