I have a ati theater 550 pro tv tuner device that is getting a code 10 error ... this device cannot start ... any solutions ... This card has done this before but started working fine and then i removed the card from the pc about a week ago and never put it back in and when i put the card back in it happened again .... The problem has to do with the driver not being able to load .... i just do not know how to fix this problem .... I have the ati theater 550 pro running on Vista 64 bit Ultimate ...

yes i downloaded the latest one from ATI'S website ... and i am 100% sure the card works ....

You're the 2nd person posting a problem with the 550 Pro and Vista 64. Did you try going into the Program Compatibility Wizzard to see if an earlier version will work?

I also have the same issue with the theater 550HD and the same os. Also when I used DScaller (its great but is lacking) it would lock up in an hour or so at random. Sometimes its 15min or three hours when watching tv all though I did have the filtering set to max. They do seem to run hot for a tv/fm tuner and even attached a cooler to one.

um no ... what usually works is having it connected when doing windows updates for the very first time while in stalling my OS .... Windows Update finds the correct driver and the card functions perfectly ..... However if i check for updates now , it says no updates at this time .... i will check and see if there is an older driver that will work
