ICYBOX USB Disks not recognised

This problem is driving me nuts! I have two new Icybox SATA/USB2.0 storage boxes and I have two new 1 Terabyte Seagate 7200.12 SATA drives.

When I connect either disk in my Icybox to either of my two PC's running dual boot XP and Win7 using USB, the OS systems do not see them in any way shape or form.

And yet my older Icybox and Maxstor are seen right away.

I have installed the disks in the PC's and formatted them (FAT32) no problem at all and then tried to re-install them in the external Icy box but again, they are not recognised.

I have tried different cables, different ports all to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Update. Actually, my older PC running XP sees this device no problem at all. Its the new one running XP and Win 7 that doesn't recognise it. And yet it recognises all my other USB devices. :heink:

Solved!

I had substituted a PSU that came with the unit to a similar wall wart that wasn't able to deliver 2 Amps of power. Once I had swapped to the original PSU it worked fine.
