Planned to get a heatsink and some fans

I'm on a $50 budget (already have the paste/paste remover I need) an Im mostly focused on the heatsink.

This is what I was planning to get -

Now I'm mostly curious about if the heatsink is going to fit on my motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157230) and is compatible with an i5 2500k processor (it says Cooler bracket included LGA 2011 i7 i5 775 1155 AMD but I'm not really sure what that means.)

The fitting of the heatsink will depend on the mobo and case. Because it is LGA 1155 compatible it should be no problem with your 2500K. Not the top of the line, but definitely not bad parts.

If there is any heatsink you can suggest for around the same price ($30) I'd be happy to get that instead, this is mainly what looked good to me but I've never really done this before

Bigger question is what case?
Most hsf units don't get along too well with side fans.
For $30 i'd buy a CM EVO or 212+.
