How to safely overclock the i7 2600k

Hi, I'm new to overclock the cpu, why would I want to overclock the cpu? the reason is now I'm using Asus Maximus 4 Extreme - Z, GTX 590, i7 2600k, H100 and 16gb corsairs vengeance.

I want to know a safe guide to overclock the cpu to 4GHz, safe for daily use, I only use this computer for gaming.

what should I change in UEFI? I do not want to overclock the cpu too much, I think 4GHz is enough.

I beg your assistance in this matter because I'm really new and do not understand about overclocking, thanks before.

4Ghz is a small overclock so all you need to do is change your multiplier to 40. You may want to run prime95 for 5 mins to check your temperature, but thats all.
