Can't enter BIOS on HP - freezes

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Chipsets & Bios Can't enter BIOS on HP - freezes

I can't enter the BIOS / setup of my HP A6500F. The stupid thing goes to a blank screen with a blinking cursor in the top left hand side of the screen. I have to power cycle to get it to reboot.

I made the mistake of trying to use HP help desk. That just ended up in 2 hours of me explaining the same problem over and over. They call that tech support? :pfff: :pfff:

I figured I'd try to reload the BIOS but the have only one file on the HP web site that has anything to do with BIOS and when I run it, it just says I have the most current version. I'm stuck. Any ideas???

Never mind, I figured it out. I gut reset the BIOS with the jumper on the MOBO and all is well. Duh.

As stupid as this seems to some, most techs assume that everything is done correctly. One simple question. Anything plugged into the USB ports? System may be trying to boot to a device other than your hard drive or CD Rom. Just a though
