I have a dell laptop inspiron 1525. I have a strange problem with my dell laptop. when I start my laptop in the boot time every thing is fine. But the problem is after some time display goes to dark black. I observed one strange issue was back ground system working fine about display goes to dark black.
I observed another important thing is " can't run 16-bit windows program".
I am using windows xp2

please help me......

would presume xp 64 bit since there is no sp3 for it, only up to SP2, and 64 bit can run 32 bit programs, so long there is no 16bit code.

xp 32 bit should just be able to run 16 bit code.

Sounds like something is wrong with your backlighting, check the power management settings
