Will I lose download/upload speed with cable internet if the coax cable is on a 3-way splitter?

You may need a signal booster. Your internet line should also be straight off the first split in the line. No more splits after that.

Thanks, I do believe that I only have the one split. I was getting speeds of 700k-1.2mb/sec downloads for torrents, then changed where the tower is in the room and had to change the cable coming from the split. I now get around 300k/s max. I may go and pick up a signal booster, or a good quality short coax cable.
