I'm interested in buying a capture card so I can record my xbox 360 which is hooked up to my TV. The only problem is that my computer is not at all close to my xbox and TV. Is there a way I can hook up the capture card to my 1TB external HDD or should I go with the wireless route. I've heard however that wireless capture cards can cause a loss of quality and I'd like to record in HD. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I don't know if this will help, but I've got a fairly large HD DVR hooked up to my TV.
