ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am going to build a computer for my parents because their HP was cooked in a storm.
This system will never be used for gaming. Solitaire is about it for them. My step dad insists on a AMD processor and mother wants a
nvidia card like she has at work. (She mainly uses word, surfs: is not a workstation) OS is needed. Looking for a rig that can last 4-5 years doing these tasks. Thanks for your help.

I would go with a Lian-Li case, good quality, classy design. Their high end aluminum ones would kill your budget, but they have some low cost cases out there. If price is more of a concern, Go with something simple like an Antec Sonata.
