Hi,
I've used an IMB thinkpad 560 but unfortunately, it has got a loose
connection inside and I had to replace it. Now, I've got a TP 560x as
replacement and I wonder whether I can use my old power supply (85G6736)
16V, 2.2A.
I've found on the IBM homepage that I must use a more powerful powe
supply (Amperage 3.36A) but on the other hand, the specs on the back of
the 560x show an Amperage of 1.9A like for my old TP 560.
I was told that I could use the more powerful power supply also for my
TP 560 an they seem to have identical connectors.
Will I risk any demage to the TP 560x or the (2.2A) power supply if I
used them together? I even found some (but inofficial) web sites that
claims this weaker power supply to be compatible with the 560x...

Yes, it will just take a bit longer to charge the battery if you're running
the unit on AC.

Sorry for the late answer, but I couldn't try it out before yesterday.
Yes - it works great.
