Wasn't sure where to post this, as this pertains to multiple categories but here we go.
Recently I upgraded from an 8800GTS to a 4890.. I currently have a Q6600 @ stock speed and 4 gigs of RAM that are apparently not good\meant for overclocking, and to my understanding there is quite a bottleneck. And as OCing isn't really an option (not just hardware problem, but fear of horribly damaging everything) I figured i would upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and RAM.
I've been looking around and it seems as I7s are the way to go. My question is.. Which one? I *think* I have a basic understanding of a few of them (what they're best for). Motherboard and RAM I'm pretty much at a loss for, I pretty much just go with whatever has highest rating...
This is only used for gaming, watching movies, etc.. No video encoding\decoding, or anything like that. The extent of my (fairly intensive) games are Call of duty 4 (and modern warfare 2), GTA IV, Need for Speed, and Borderlands.
Here's what I put together:

Is this good? Any suggestions\help\advice is greatly appreciated.
