Copy problem

Hello,I have inserted a new cartridge and it printed from the computer ok, but it will not do a copy. I am not being asked to align it on screen and the warning light which normally indicates a paper jam of some sort is flashing. there is no paper jam I have adjusted and re-inserted the paper but still have the problem. I have Windows XP Can you advise?

Reset the printer to its default settings - see your manual for the specific procedures or google it for your make and model printer.
